Regarding US debt holdings by foreign countries, they are not 'fleeing'. In fact, foreign holdings of US debt hit a record high in March. China did incrementally decrease their holdings, but the amount is not material.

Quick quiz - what country holds the most US debt? Most people would say China, and they would be wrong. It is Japan, followed by the UK and China.

I agree with your larger point, but think of it this way - where else are these countries going to go? There are not a lot of options and the US, even with our recently downgraded credit rating, remains a safe haven.

Probably a good idea to at least dip your toes into some Bitcoin.
