He unilaterally went through w it anyways nonetheless. I never said it wasn’t legal, but it was unwise and did NOT carry the same weight as an actual treaty.
Way too big of a decision to do on POTUS Power only as POTUS is temporary.
Why did Obama do it?

Bad advice?
Ego?
pro islamic bent?
Legacy?
He thought that GOP was bluffing?

From Obama’s own comments, I inferred that he thought the middle east was imbalanced with Israel having nukes, but not the muslim world.
I suspect he thought MAD would work in the crazy, violent zealot world of islam.
