I disagree with this assumption. The US has the most global military in the history of mankind. We can deploy a fighting force anywhere in the world within 18 hrs. A fight only involving air assets is even quicker. We have multiple air bases at our disposal in the region. While I agree that Iran is stronger than the Houthis, Israel decimated Iran’s ability to fly freely and the Iranian rocket attacks have dwindled from hundreds to maybe 40 a day from what I’ve read.
Also, the Houthis military capability is much more elaborate than claiming they’re just “sandal wearing fighters.” While the victory over them wasn’t decisive, they did agree to a cease fire because they knew fighting us was futile.
