Trump already has a primary opponent pegged to oust Massie. Trump doesn't think in terms of principles, so someone like Massie mystifies him. This is the basic reason that DeSantis (whom Massie endorsed for president) and his people haven't respected Trump and his people. The DeSantis folks correctly concluded that Trump isn't any sort of principled conservative. This is how Trump was so easily able to pivot on abortion once he figured that his previous stance hurt him and his endorsed candidates.
