Our supply lines are several orders of magnitude more difficult, and they have men to spare/cull.
Our weapons take longer to make, and our ties to NATO ensure that our supply lines for some missiles depend on delivery from multiple nations, like Norway, and from other countries who may not be concerned about China. We don't make all of our ammo anymore.
And, China is a manufacturing powerhouse compared to us...like the US was when compared to Germany and Japan in 1935.
Having said all that, we agree on one thing: We both hope I'm wrong and you are right.
