to make it look as normal as possible. Poor guys. It's safe to say that the Secret Service has never had to face a situation like this before. They have undoubtedly had to prepare for the possibility of Biden starting to just wander aimlessly with no warning or to randomly descend into some sort of bizarre behavior or speech.
