"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." Muslims...like Jews, Hindus, Protestants and Catholics, etc.. have every right to practice their religions and not be discriminated against. They can even hold elective office at all levels of government. In essence, you can't be a Hypocrite and have "Rules" for others, but not yourself.
As for Socialism, I've previously posted a list of elected Socialist Mayors, who could, if they choose, run for higher office. Also, Socialism is not Communism...as evidenced by the social governance of many countries with Private Businesses.
