One of the best was the St.John’s Redmen. Had nothing to do with Native Americans. (Think Orangemen of Syracuse, Crimson of Harvard or Cardinal of Stanford.)

They did need to change the mascot (which they did...to a poor one)…but wasn’t enough apparently.
