I’ve seen your thought expressed on multiple occasions by liberal factions. For example, “Thoughts and prayers” said mockingly in a way that shares a smug chuckle with their fellows that prayers are some sort of useless ritual done by the ignorant.
This is the devil acting in their lives to lead them away from God and salvation.

All things are possible through God, and ALL glory is God’s. Prayer is our most valuable tool…..the simple act of asking for help, asking for forgiveness…..it is how we access God’s infinite mercy. The only way that we can lose is if we fail to seek it and fail to have the faith to ask for it with sincerity to do our best to do His Will going forward.
Thus, the devil wants to turn people from it. In this case through mockery and smugness.

I admit that I have failed many times, one place in particular is my interactions with you. I’ll try to stop that going forward even though we almost always disagree. I may still be sarcastic, but I’ll try to not attack you personally. I have a couple posts above this that came before this post, so please be aware that those are out there.

Don’t give up on prayer or on God, Jim. All we have to do is ask sincerely, and He is always there waiting.
