become a, by rote enterprise and usually uninteresting over he last few years. Though, the one terrific thing is they are mostly well put together. 2, the value (brain value) is largely diminished by the inaneness of plot and story telling. How many times can one see the same schtick on film without being bored to tears. Absolutely love the fantastic four comics saga but the films up to now have been very poor story telling.

I’m reminded of a reviewer who said, audiences have become enamored with anomie. Mediocrity is the apex of culture and imagination in America. We cheer and applaud the yellow ribbon winner as greatness. Sadly, we’ve lost the strength to support imagination.

I’ve ducked out on special screenings and openings of films in the last couple of seasons.

So, unfortunately I’m not in form to make advising calls on films lately.

As always - taste in art (loosely) is in the eye of the beholder. I like action films regardless of genre and it matters little the quality.

See what interests you and fuck all reviews to the contrary.

Be well, and smile.

  • Alright jim, these films are a bit below your artistic standards, but I need your input. - jakers - 3:46pm 8/4/25 (1) [View All]
