…how long before some stupid leader makes that decision?

Beware leaders that are too quick to impose restrictions on freedoms in the name of a good cause.
If this is not resisted, they will implement it everywhere else that they desire. The reasons that the govt shuts down activities will become more lax. The type and location of movement restrictions will expand.

I’m honestly cheering for you guys to beat this, but I fear from talking with my Canadian friends that too many of citizens already look to the federal govt to solve all of your problems. It will be glad to do so.

Every crisis represents a chance to take more of your freedoms away.

Regarding fires: better fire fighting strategies such as excavation are going to work much better. But this is a crisis not to be wasted by your leaders. They aren’t fixing it, but they are taking your liberties.
