DC violent crime ranks 25th in the country and has dropped sharply over the years to a 30 year low.

Perhaps you should check out violent crime in done RED State cities such as:

Memphis
St Louis
New Orleans
Baton Rouge
Kansas City
Cleveland
Anchorage
Houston
Toledo
Wichita
Nashville

I will tell you what cities aren’t up there:

San Diego
San Jose
San Francisco
Los Angeles

And an extremely low city based on violent crime is El Paso, TX, the largest immigrant city in the country.
