It’s been brutal for them defending their country against Putin.
It ought not be Ukraine’s burden to make a deal, simply for the sake of any deal.
It should be Russia’s burden to make concessions and provide security guarantees. And the United States should be applying pressure to Russia, not Ukraine.
Why wouldn’t they? They’ve been at war for 3 + years.
