You show respect to the other side, even if they are assholes...if you want a settlement, that is.

Calculated disrespect doesn't usually elicit a good response. I've seen it done in the business context, and it is a quick path to litigation.

He should do this for both Putin and Zelenskyy. I agree with you he was an ass to Zelenskyy. He shouldn't have been. And shouldn't be to Putin either.
