… in my view, the most interesting passage quoted is the following:
“Mr. Joscelyn—one of the principal drafters of the committee’s final report—wants us to believe that President Trump was indeed requesting an additional 10,000 National Guardsmen to protect and surround him and his supporters so that he could make it easier for any rioters amongst them to attack the Capitol. Really?”
In other words, there is not disputing that President Trump offered to have up to an additional 10,000 National Guardsmen present, but the January 6th propagandists want us to believe it was only because he wanted to protect himself and his supports and not to protect the Capitol, yet at the same time they want us to believe he plotted to attack the Capitol and overthrow the government with his supports.
It is akin to thinking someone would believe a gang plotting to rob and ransack a jewelry store would call in a request for 10,000 cops to surround them ahead of time to make it “easier” to rob the store.
Sadly, the facts show that one of the only persons actually attempting to protect the Capitol on January 6th was President Trump. January 6th is one of those test cases that shows propogandists still think they can manipulate the public into believing anything. Fortunately, the public saw through this one of many hoaxes.
