You can resolve conflict by killing other side or by talking to them. Kirk was killed for talking.

Initiating violence to stop dialogue is not the way to stop violence. When a murderer genuinely believes that another person is evil because they want to talk through the issues openly and freely, and when that murderer genuinely believes that they themselves are not evil when they murder to stop dialogue, we have a long way to go to improve things.

Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.
