for so long without acknowledging it until tricked into admitting it. But if you use a liberal programmed AI, you always get a liberal answer. It is useless & why no one bothers with his links.
Wrt to the medical associations mentioned:
The medical bodies in our country were long ago consumed by politics (it got worse when Obama during the Obamacare push, and then it was fully politicized during COVID).
I cannot think of a more left wing college than my own ACOG. The decisions for leadership spots and statements regarding POLITICALLY RELATED issues are crafted from a left wing perspective. Still, they do also have much usefulness medically and scientifically. I try to look at their data & reasoning whenever something potentially political like this comes up. I agree with them.
You also need to understand something else about ACOG - they are very aware of the medicolegal implications of their statements because lawyers are always looking for new avenues to a big payday - and believe me, acetaminophen use in PG would be one of them.
I wish that they had framed their answer more like the one that I gave you, but I believe that they did not because of the potential exposure to Ob/Gyns everywhere that it would create - if not in the past, going forward.
The main reason that they came down as strongly as they did was also to provide appropriate and needed protection for their membership. They know the same thing I told you, and I am confident that they agree with it. But they have other responsibilities as well.
