Illinois leaders had no problem calling out the NG for the 1997 Bulls championship dealing with those drunken loser idiots. . The NG was called out as a response to Covid in 2020 while Dem Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was getting her hair done against her own orders. Chicago Dem Mayor Lori Lightfoot requested, and was granted, the NG in response to the George Floyd peaceful protests in 2020, Again, in 2021, Chicago Dem Mayor Lori Lightfoot requested, and was granted, the NG in response to the Officer Derek Chauvin verdict and those peaceful protests. Dem leaders in Illinois deployed the NG for all kinds of Dem violent unrest in the late 1960s and lest we forget that Dem leaders called out the NG to protect their Dem elites in 2024 and set up protests zones blocks away from the convention for their recent Dem gathering. Democrats do love the NG when it's politically convenient.
