…yes, I would never trust that AD to make another head football coach hire.
…yes, I would fire that AD.

But I would have fired the AD quietly after the season by offering him a chance to retire on his own first to avoid embarrassment and legal strife and program damage.

The governor getting involved was pure political grandstanding. It actually knee-capped the losers (LSU’ers?) program as bo rational top candidate will touch that toxic mess of a program now.
It also added another 6M in payout to the AD from what I’ve read.
The R gov Landry even tried to link himself and the situation to Trump who has nothing at all to do with this.
I know that LSU lacks a true president atm and decisions apparently falls to the gov,
But this should all have been behind closed doors.

On the other hand, I recall the comments from LSU’ers when Kelly went there….they do deserve it. And it is fascinating to watch.
But Landry acted like a doofus imo.
