and that policy has not wavered in over 30 years. Hard to imagine any group of people more dedicated to the health and well-being of women and babies than the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
In all our debates over Catholic teaching on this issue, let's not forget that America is comprised of citizens with many beliefs...and some who are atheists. We are a democracy and therefore our laws must reflect the Common Good for the nation. ACOG's Policy on Abortion is non-sectarian...and representative of the best minds and practices when it comes to this issue.
That policy is succinctly stated...everyone who cares about the issue of Abortion and Women's Health should read it.
