Obviously, there are no statistics on registered vs unregistered guns. No statistics on who would conform to a registry requirement. And, no way to know how many weapons are illegally owned currently in the U.S.. I know by talking to guns owners that I know that all of them (yes 100%) would not register all of their weapons (if any). Yes, I live in the south and yes, we like our guns. Get over. What "reasonable" law(s) could/should be implemented for regulating guns like cars as you say? Give me one that doesn't already exist that would have prevented this recent event from happening. You and I both know that there is none. You are trying to capitalize on a tragedy and it is shameful. 70% plus of homicides are committed with a illegally obtained weapon. That is the funny thing about criminals, they don't follow the laws by definition.
