Successsive waves of civilizations occupied the same site on top of one another. Greek theaters became Roman gladiatorial arenas became Christian basilicas were overrun by barbarians and then rebuilt as mosques and then got buried for centuries. All were occupied by human beings with the same underlying set of emotions.

We are vain fools not to see one another with empathy and compassion.

Be very Thankful to be alive today and respect those with whom you do not share the same perspectives. We all live on the same site.
