The Trump administration wants a world of three major powers that shall dominate their respective regions of the world and treat countries in those regions as colonies.

It's like he's cool with the reestablishment of the Soviet Union AND allowing it to expand over all of Europe as well as allowing XI to do the same thing in Asia,.. which kinda ignores potential superpower conflicts in the rest of the world.

In other words, it's hopelessly naive and totally neglects human history and the psychology of ruthless dictators

I mean, Hitler and Stalin "negotiated" their own division of Europe and it lasted less two years.

Abandoning our global "concerns" would ultimately result in global blood baths that will make WWII seem like a paper cut.

Fortunately, Trump will become a lame duck in another year (if not sooner as Congressional Republicans distance themselves for self preservation) AND Putin has so messed up his country and military that he'll be no threat for many years.

Now all we need is a centrist Dem leader who will not muck up the economy.

Yikes! None in sight.
