What bothers me most is that this is not geopolitical... it's transactional.

It makes zero sense for us to appease a genocidal dictator threatening Europe but attack a banana republic one in South America.

Trump sees everything through the eyes of a business deal maker.

This narrowmindedness is not in our country's or the world's long-term interest.
