Allegedly molested a little boy. Busfield has had a reputation in Hollywood for this for at least 30 years, yet time and time again, he has been placed on sets as an actor and director with children. The dude was sued by the family of a 17 year-old girl 30 years ago. He was sued by a woman in 2012. He has consistently created or sought out volunteer charities and events specifically for children. The story that has been around for years is that way back in 1994, he was the star on a new show set in Hawaii, which co-starred 14 year-old Jennifer Love Hewitt, who had already developed. The cast and crew spent the entire time off screen trying to keep him away from her. The execs in Hollywood knew all about him all these years and still kept greenlighting him to be on sets and in private spaces with kids. These derelict parents of child actors should emulate Toby Maguire's mom, who never let him out of her sight when he was a child actor, and was prepared to pull him out of the gig entirely if the producers refused to budge on that.
