If we wanted the "rare earth minerals" - and their presence in Greenland is more theoretical than proven, since they would be under ice - we could just buy them. And the Danes would be happy to sell.
Articles like that are by people guessing who want you to believe they know things. I run into them all the time. A good way to recognize them is if they talk about those idiotic betting markets as if they have any meaning.
