But the gun shouldn't be the issue, it was legal.

Fighting with 7 cops is the issue.

7 cops unable to contain one man (who didn't look like he's MMA or something) is an issue.

Did he actually try to pull the gun?

Why was he shot (reportedly) 9 times?
