You seem to be intentionally obtuse on this.
You can have peace at any time. Just "accept a proposed deal" in which you give everything away. It is clear that Chamberlain thought that way. You also think that way. An analogy is thereby formed.
But you don't speak for everyone. Many think that there are some things worth fighting for. Your attitude reminded me of a great speech. You can say "the Cold War" is not "the current war with Iran," and try to claim that there is no such thing as an analogy. But, analogies do exist, in spite of your personal disbelief in their existence.
