That is a different argument, and one of political convenience for you.

A few months ago, when several national.guardsmen from Iowa died in Syria, I asked "why is the national guard in Syria?" You weren't interested in an answer to my question.

Congress did not declare war on Syria, and I didn't hear a peep about legal or moral rationale from you.

But this is a good thing if you are planning to be the arbiter of legal and moral principle moving forward. I'll support this and join you, forgetting about the past. Bring our national guard home. Start withdrawing troops from the 700-1000+ bases (no one seems to know how many there actually are) throughout the world and focus on the western hemisphere. Russia is Europe's problem, Israel is not our concern. But that is not the world we live in, and not the world you have both tacitly and explicitly supported up until now depending on the color of the President's tie.
