If your country took a humiliating, deadly pounding, you would not “behave” from then on. That’s just not how international politics works.

They are going to rebuild. Smarter than we think. And they are going to seek ways to hurt us like we’ve hurt them.

This was such an amazingly bad decision. The ramifications are just beginning.
