Did he ask for a wartime prayer, or did he ask for people to pray for the safety of the troops? What was the exact quote?

He does come off as a bit evangelical from what I've heard from him. It does not surprise me that he asked for prayers, even in the name of Jesus.

Hegseth is explicitly Christian, or at least he pretends to be, I have no idea, I don't know the guy personally. It only stands out if you are looking for a reason to be mad about it.

I don't have a problem with people calling out Hegseth for the dumb shit. I am not trying to defend him, but as I stated, last time I saw this, it was a crock of extrapolated shit.
