It is speculation on my part that the Adm was concerned about leaks wrt the upcoming strikes on Iran. The wider the circle of knowledge, the higher the risk of leaks, and i suspect that they didn't want to take the chance of another leak scuttling the action as back in Oct '24, regardless of the source.
Ultimately, since the leaders have far more information than we do, it comes down to trust.
