MAGA supporters here, if you're truly America-first advocate, should have courage to admit Trump's mistake. This is not same as those TDS' nonsense. They just attack Trump on everything.
Why trump's OEF is wrong?
1. Trump launched OEF right before Iran was ready to make significant concession in Geneva negotion mediated by Oman. Iran agreed to not stockpile enriched uranium. Yes, to zero, not just capping the stockpile. Iran pledges to down-blend or moving current highly enriched uranium to another country. This is a good deal, much better than JCPOA which allowes Iran completely free in developing nuclear weapons after 10-15 years. Trump's maximum pressure campaign worked until he ruined it by launching OEF.
2. Trump was foolishly tricked by Netanyahu into this war by believing Israel's intelligence. To be fair Trump is not war mongering. He didn't want and prepare a total war ( which has to be authorized by congress anyway). He simply expected a fast victory within 4 hours or no longer than 4 days after killing supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei and other leaders. He was confident that Iranian opposition would stand up to successfully challenge the Iran theocracy and Artesh (Iran's regular Army) who hate IRCC so much would have mutiny or coup (via Israel intelligence), as evidenced by the facts that he didn't deployed troops from Japan at beginning of OEF and didn't change the schedule of visiting China to meet Xi. Everyone knows Iran would close Strait of Hormuz if US-Iran war erupts. Even on this board we talked about it before and Iranian Parliament voted to close the Strait of Hormuz last year after Trump bombarded Iran nuclear facilities. But Trump simply believed Iranian theocracy would collapse before that happens. This is wrong. Iran is not Venezuela.
Any country with a long history of civilization is not like Venezuela. Yes, Iranian opposition is very strong. Some estimated 40% of Iranians in opposition camp. Coup from Artesh which is deeply penetrated by Israel is possible given certain circumstances. But It won't happen if you kill 170 school girls. That's why Trump denied U S. kill them. His denial message is to Iranians, not to Americans. Also, it is naive to think iran would surrender in 40-day Islamic mourning period (60 days in the case of Khamenei). Even Iran want to surrender, they can't do that. That means the war has to go long, longer than Trump thought.
From slow-walking Epstein file release to Iran war, Trump went from America first to Israel first. From Taliban 2001 to Taliban 2021, from Khamenei 1989 to Khamenei 2026, regime change is in our politians' blood. It's sad.
