well as low intelligence...ergo an easy mark to gain control of...started about 40 yrs ago when he showed up on KGB agents' radar (see Guardian article)...since then, Russia has bailed him out more than once financially and amassed more than enough 'Kompromat' to exert "Influence" over him (see Helsinki Press Briefing).

btw, every U.S. administration (Rep and Dem) prior to Trump has been fully aware of what's going on in Iran...they've just been more rational in their dealings...and MUCH less 'Conflicted'.
