When arrested, he reportedly said, "He laid his hands on me." He didn't say, "I feared for my life." This was about his over active sense of "respect" or deference that he required from other people to him. Too bad he had to take the life of his victim for us to find out he had to be removed from society.
The murderer would have done this eventually. He was walking through life waiting to be disrespected so he could stab an unarmed person. Might as well remove him from society now.
But what about 25 years?
