I'm not sure that this is a wise approach, but I wish them well.

I realize that they have a lot of people wanting to be invited. I realize they have money coming out of their ears. I realize that they may not look at this union in the same way as I do (or maybe they do).
But the glamour and glitz fades. The body ages, Beauty fades. Talent and voice and athletic ability fades. Love endures. Loyalty and support when times get hard is vital.
The ceremony will undoubtedly be the envy of many people, but it would appear to emphasize the worldly things.
The show of commitment (even if it is not a sacramental marriage) is not a public performance, but a private commitment shared with friends and family with whom you lean on together and share humbly and gratefully.

Maybe these components are all there - I really do hope that they are for this couple. But I see this over the top event as nothing but a hindrance to achieving their goal. I hope that they can overcome it.
