You don't question your own birthright citizenship, do you?
But, if we start qualifying birthright citizenship by scoring the mother's status at time of birth, that creates a slippery slope to pass laws to excommunicate citizens for criminal conduct by the individual or the child's parents, or to excommunicate citizens based upon their politics, religion, or any reason. That is, one's citizenship status could be stripped away by Congress passing laws to excommunicate "citizens" or "voters" for a multitude of reasons.
For that reason alone, the notion of "qualified" birthright citizenship is a dangerous precedent.
You should spend time in America's great cities. Get to know folks from different parts of the world. And as Christ taught us, "do not be afraid."
