Joe blessed the arrangement and had set up a network of family members for similar self enrichment of the family as a whole.
During the Biden years, the Democrats (and liberals here) claimed that there was nothing wrong or suspicious about this arrangement despite its illegality as well as a classic Biden slip up where he talked about the deal.
It was a sad time in American politics.
