I suspect you have not read the act. It is actually quite reasonable. The only reason to oppose it is if you think a large proportion of your voters are somehow exceedingly stupid, or lazy, or apathetic, or a combination thereof. Not sure why we would want the exceedingly stupid, uninformed and apathetic to be voting. Why would you want them to vote?
