Bob Dylan's lyrics are excellent, definitely have quality of poetry. For example, most songs of his album "John Wesley Harding" are written in iambic form. But song lyrics are still not poems. The context of poems is silence, the context of lyrics is sound, i.e. melodic motion. They are different. Seems Nobel committee intentionally blur the boundary between literature and music. I think it is unfair to poets.
