If we do nothing, our condition will continue to get worse.
Everything I read seems to be either "it's the Mexicans fault" or "It's technologies fault". Then I come here and read about how we might devolve into a feudal system, as if we aren't already pretty much there.
People (blacks, mexicans, white rural folk) lack class mobility opportunities which were once one of the things that separated the USA from most areas of the world.
One thing (maybe the only thing) that inspires optimism for me about a Trump presidency is that he may be un-Washington enough to actually try to do big things, which I think is necessary to reverse course. Of course this could blow up in our collective faces if he does the wrong thing. Is that better than death by a thousand cuts? I guess it depends.
