I suspect with the Talban authorities in possession of the lists we gave them of folks we were looking to get out, overland travel will be somewhat akin to if not worse than traveling "The Trail of Tears." Of course the difference being that the US. Federal government was busy pushing people out of their ancestral homes, whereas the Taliban seem more interested in holding people in place while wracking them and on occasion delivering a head shot.
