. . . . . basic American values -- freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and mostly the 14th Amendment - equal protection of the law, as applied to minorities, women, the LBGT community, and immigrants.
They are marching in support of the basic American principle that individuals are unique unto themselves, and we need to be our sister's keeper, -- particularly our most vulnerable.
Like many of their fellow countrymen gathered in DC and around the nation, they deemed it important enough to reinforce those core values and be heard loud 'n clear.
