The President violated every political convention and won, as the outsider.
He is bound to no one, certainly not the GOP, but he owns Congress.
He could be the first apolitical President, and do whatever he believes, will fix America, looking out for Joe Citizen. He ran and won on that.
But, he's obsessed with the media, his public perception, crowd support, who is attacking him, etc.
All he had to do after the election, was quietly take the high road, appoint a few Dems on the cabinet, and today, just tweet "Women, thank you for marching today. We hear you loud 'n clear. Let's work together."
But, instead of quelling the division, he keeps feeding it, No upside.
Just govern as the apolitical person that you really are -- socially liberal, but pro business, and anti government bureaucracy.
He simply cannot get out of his own way.
