Someone needs to be honest with the folks who do that dirty and dangerous work.

Appalachian Power in WV has been closing coal plants and converting to natural gas because of cost.

Right now the NG is so cheap it's killing coal and nuke, let alone the clean alternatives.

There will always be a market for low-vol met coal from Appalachia if we start making steel

Strangely enough there is a big nuke power plant there. For now the legal money is in the pipelines.
