I look forward to ND's "intellectual" ad on heliocentrism. I hear Fr. Jenkins was early on that issue as well. I'm sure you are wondering why ND focused only on climate change. That would show how intellectual Notre Dame is, using your argument.
Or, unlike Conor, are you admitting that ND is now running ads during football games on hot button political issues, rather than running ads about Notre Dame and how great Notre Dame is.
There are only a couple options here.
1) ND is running an ad touting a principal of science, like Conor says, which is stupid.
OR
2) ND is running an ad pushing for political action, which is also a stupid move (but, I look forward to their ad saying that we must do something about all the dying people in abortions in America, and I'm sure you and Conor do as well).
If they had switched to a lab at ND, where they are analyzing ice cores to explain what was happening to the earth, I would not have posted on this.
If they had shown an organization of students volunteering to address the problem, I would not have posted.
They did neither of those things. Or did I miss something?
