Our Government, in the interests of protecting passengers from terrorists, mandated airport security/screening. It is not optional. Prospective passengers don’t get to opt out of having their bags and persons checked by the TSA folks.
And once aboard, passengers are mandated to sit in their seats and wear seatbelts during takeoff and landing. Passengers do not get to say “thanks, but no thanks” and walk about the cabin smoking a cigarette because “it’s my body, my safety… I’ll do as I please.”
Yet, when it comes to the notion of mandatory vaccinations, posters are up in arms about Government intrusion upon their individual freedoms, even though COVID has proven to be a far greater threat to our safety compared to terrorism.
