First, I agree with what you said. But, I didn't think of it as a matter of breaking the law.

I suppose I don't know police department protocols work, but I guess I thought they might be similar to military protocols regarding fraternization. In the military, an officer receiving a lap dance from a private, at a military event, would be 100% inappropriate, and I dare say someone would be disciplined.

And, I'm trying to imagine that happening at my company's office holiday party. Somebody would be disciplined. But, I can guarantee we wouldn't let it continue while multiple people pulled out their cameras and recorded it. It would have been halted right away, before it got going.

Adults can do whatever adults want to do. But, there are etiquettes and protocols in a mature and stable society.
