The protester lives in a home (a commune of sorts, but externally funded I gather) with other paid protesters. The protester does consider protesting to be her first/priority job (it's kind of a religion for her), but because protesting can be slow at times, she picks up part time jobs on the side. Don't know if the others in the commune do that, but I'm glad this one does, as it gives us a little insight into that political underworld. The protester was calling in sick last week, because her priority job required her nearly 24x7 to protest Kavanaugh.
