He had about 30% support during the election. It seems his support is up to 40% among them now. That's why I didn't disagree that he was polling higher. They just still, by a substantial majority, do not like him.
The increase could bode well for his re-election bid, but he has lost a lot of ground with women (something like 41% during election, about 33% now).
